Contact UsAs you age, repeated muscle contractions create lines in your skin which are called wrinkles. Another sign of aging is the loss of facial volume, which contributes to the development of wrinkles and can make your skin sag. JUVÉDERM works to reverse this problem by restoring hyaluronic acid (HA) to your facial tissues. This substance actually occurs naturally in your body, and when we inject more of it then your skin will be able to retain volume as well as moisture and softness.
As a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE), Dr. Wagner is qualified to inject the JUVÉDERM dermal fillers into your facial tissues. Depending on the treatment you receive, whether volume restoring or wrinkle reducing, the results of treatment can last from 1-2 years. Please call our office today if you would like to schedule your free JUVÉDERM consultation.
How long do Juvederm fillers last?
Juvederm fillers can actually last up to one year, which is longer than other dermal fillers on the market. Of course, how long a Juvederm treatment lasts also depends on each individual’s metabolism and the rate at which your body will break down the filler. However, if you notice after a while that your results are fading or have faded, you’re welcome to schedule a follow-up appointment with our team!
When should I get fillers?
Juvederm can be added to your treatment plan if you ever want to reduce the appearance of wrinkles around your eyes, mouth, or other areas of your face, or you just want to achieve firmer, more youthful-looking skin. If you would like to add a Juvederm treatment onto a dental visit, please let our team know when you schedule your appointment with us. Juvederm treatments only take about 20 to 30 minutes, depending on how many injections are needed.
What should I avoid doing after getting Juvederm?
After your treatment is complete, you will want to refrain from touching or rubbing your face too much, as that can actually cause the filler to move to different parts of the face. You should also avoid exercising for at least two days and try to keep your head elevated as much as possible. Heat should not be applied to the face, but ice can be used to reduce any swelling that occurs. Alcohol should also be avoided a few days before and after your treatment.
